The Full Story
Hello! I’m Rafael.
After many years of experimenting with several motors and programs as a hobbyist game dev, I've finally decided to pursue a career in the games industry.
I'm especially interested in several Quality Assurance areas: exploratory/chartered testing, compliance, automation, risk assessment and mitigation measures, test plan design, bug triage, LQA and LiveOps QA. I would like to develop my career oriented to the Analyst path, hopefully evolving towards leadership and management roles in quality.
Please allow me to quickly add some more information about me:
- I'm always looking to discover new things and improve my skills. In my free time, I keep learning about new tools and processes. Please do ask me about this in an interview, I’ll love to explain in detail what I've been doing lately: maybe I'll be reading books about testing, involved in a game project, investigating about automation or reviewing the ISTQB Syllabus. My objective is to watch over the whole video game production cycle in the best possible way.
Of course, if I'm selected to join a game development studio, I will focus and give total priority to reinforce or learn anything useful for or related to the tasks at the company. I’m deeply committed, both on the professional and personal levels, to keep improving as a quality specialist.
- I'm an active member of several Quality Assurance and testers communities, where I do my best to collaborate and learn as much as possible from industry workers. Meanwhile, I keep trying to forge myself some solid experience via crowdtesting platforms and video game beta tests.
- I've been a passionate gamer since the age of the ZX Spectrum. I've had the chance to play on many systems over the years (PCs, laptops, most consoles launched in my market, lots of cell phones), trying all kinds of video games from basically every genre. Nowadays I’m still playing new games frequently.
All in all, I think I can be a perfect fit for most QA teams. Please don't hesitate to contact me for more info.
Thanks for your time and consideration, and be well!
