QA PORTFOLIO

Some of the works, project and tools that I've been developing as Analyst and Tester

Jira - Test management system

Test suites and cases design

Test design for a piece of an iconic game, based on the first moments of gameplay. Analysis of the flow of the game in terms both of transition of states and mechanics.

Setup of the test suites and cases as tasks with their relevant fields. Configuration of a priority management system for the issues. Elaboration of additional documentation (Confluence).

Explanation of the system

Developing a game from within a team

Development of a basic testing strategy with a double approach. Issues to test or to discuss with the team are organized by features, while detected defects are grouped by FLURPSi domains and categorized via tags and colors.

Creation and maintenance of a testing branch. Additionally, supported the team by providing documentation, ideas and drafts for the narrative, level design and our puzzle mechanic.

The Last Train (最后列车)

Localization Quality Assurance

Free indie game already published in Chinese, where I was part of the localization team to English.

Helped by finding defects in text and usability, proposing fixes and organizing part of the issues reporting system.

Jira - Agile project and bug database

Mock-up projects

A practice project based on Scrum. Tried to approach it both integrating tasks and user stories.

Work with customized fields and priority of the issues to elaborate the database.

Miscellaneous QA tools

Basic templates to build Quality

A mix of several easily accessible, shareable and adaptable Quality Assurance tools and templates for different purposes.

// Bug reporting data form (Google Forms) - designed for simple internal team issues reports. Can be easily adapted so even non-experienced users can provide feedback.

// Bug tracker table (Google Sheets) - for quick control of defects detected and progress of fixing, between a programmer and a tester. Can be scaled up to add team members and keep track of their tasks.

// Name you media attachments like a champion (Google Docs) - short guide to keep consistency when naming media attachments to bug reports. Example of a possible way to document best practices for the team.
